Batch Capture

The automated process of capturing an entire group of clips (such as from a DV camcorder) as defined by a batch list.

Actions to capture multiple clips for use in a non-linear editor (NLE) or video transcoding system for editing or streaming respectively. Batch capture assumes pre-recorded content that will not be streamed live because it is captured from multiple locations on a tape or flash media drive.

Batch files work similarly to exe files. Although it is a file type generally used by computer programmers for advanced functions, they can be created and used by almost any computer user. Using batch files on your computer will not only save you time, but also help you focus directly and immediately on the work you want.
