Widescreen
Widescreen or Landscape screens are the names given to screens that are taller in width than in length. Widescreen display unit is used in almost all of the new generation display devices today.
Most of the computers, tablets and smart devices we use today use wide screens, which we call Widescreen. In addition to the display unit, Widescreen software can also enable you to make a product with a widescreen display. For example, the iPhone 6S has a small screen when we look at it from the outside, while its length is high and its width is small.
However, when you turn the device sideways, the operating system can understand that you want to use your device as a Widescreen. Understanding the Widescreen usage mode, the device stretches the image sideways, thus allowing you to use the screen in Landscape mode.
What are Widescreen Types?
As standard, all Widescreen displays have an aspect ratio of 16:9. HD (1080P) images can be viewed on these screens. Among the widescreen varieties, there are also displays with an aspect ratio of 21:9, which is called UltraWide. The viewable area on these screens is 33% more than other conventional screens.
Why is Widescreen Format Better?
The reason why widescreen monitors are preferred all over the world is, of course, that Widescreen monitors, which we call widescreen, are more useful. Widescreen monitors have more viewing area when compared to square screens or compared to other monitors. At the same time, it is more practical to work with more than one software at the same time on large screens and the field of view is higher.
